June Foster

Where God has the answers. That seemed to be the theme of my stories as I began the writing journey. But what were the questions?

In January 2010, I embarked on an exciting adventure of writing fictional novels which feature characters, mostly Christian, who struggle with the common issues we all face in our daily lives. Anger, obesity, shop-a-holism, to name a few. Yes, each have questions but best of all they find answers which reflect Truth—

Story behind the story

This book was inspired by the circumstances of my brother-in-law Marshall J. Foster’s (1937-2003) who was adopted at age five into my husband’s family.

The story goes that my husband’s parents tried to have children for about eight years before they adopted Marshall. After his adoption, five natural born siblings came on the scene in rapid succession.

My husband remembers when Marshall was a young teenager. He felt it was important to let his seven and eight year-old brothers, Joe and Mike, know he was adopted. Marshall asked his mother to call a meeting.  At the solemn gathering, their mother explained the adoption process and the news of how Marshall came to live with their family.  At the end of the meeting, one of the brothers asked, “Marshall still gets to be our big brother, doesn’t he?” My husband laughs about that question to this day.
