April Fun *** Scrap booking

Scrap booking is one of my most favorite crafts/pastimes. It’s amazing how the colorful, creative books preserve memories. I have books from fifteen years ago and when I look back on them, it’s one of those oh, wow moments. I had forgotten the gorgeous sunset at the Grand Canyon or those displays at the Wright Brothers Museum at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

One book I have to share is my family album I did when my husband and I visited San Antonio, Texas. My relatives all came from the area, including my great grandmother and great grandfather. It just so happens now I’m writing a fictional story based on these real life people, and the scrapbook is invaluable.

Here’s a hint. My great grandfather was a Catholic priest back in the late 1800’s. In the early 1900’s he fell in love with a beautiful young woman. Yep, my great grandmother. If they hadn’t have gotten together, I wouldn’t be here today!

Check out the scrapbook.
