It’s been great featuring you on my blog this month. I wish you success with your novel. Tell us a few things about yourself the reader probably doesn’t know.
Here’s something about myself that perhaps you couldn’t guess. Well, maybe you could guess the first: I’m shy and awkward.
Last weekend I did a book signing of sorts with a bookseller who carries one of my books at a homeschool convention. I admire people who talk to strangers easily. That’s not me. Don’t get me wrong. I like being helpful. And for some reason, I’m able to teach teens without too much trouble. But promoting my book? The weekend wore me out. Maybe a lot of fellow bibliophiles are the same way—introverts.
I’m also a professional washerwoman. Now that I’m no longer teaching at the Christian school, I edit and teach home school co-op classes. Incredibly, if I were to create a monthly income sheet, the biggest chunk of my income comes from my two sons. One never moved out, and another needed to move back in temporarily. They both pay rent. In return, I wash their clothes and do a bit of other housework. It’s great. I mean, I’m washing our clothes anyway. Might as well!
