It’s so easy to get bogged down by daily concerns and I dare say … worry. I’ve got bills to pay, and I don’t want to admit I’m now living in an aging body.
Sometimes I have to go to God’s word and get a better perspective. I couldn’t say this any better than Paul. “Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called . . . I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. — 1Timothy 6:12-16.
We love and serve an amazing God. Now, if that doesn’t bring cheer and hope, I don’t know what does.
Hold onto God’s word and to Him.
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? Matthew 6: 26-27
Dear Lord, when I’m tempted to carry worries on my shoulders, help me to remember the One who carried the cross on His. Amen.
