Hope for the New Year

It’s so easy to get bogged down by daily concerns and dare I say … worry. I’ve got bills to pay, and I don’t want to admit I’m now living in an aging body, and I’m not sure if I’m going to find a publisher for my baby, my novel. I could go on.

Sometimes I just have to go to God’s word and get a better perspective. I couldn’t say this any better than Paul. “Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called . . . I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. — 1Timothy 6:12-16.

We love and serve an amazing God. Now, if that doesn’t bring cheer and hope, I don’t know what does.
