Jehovah-Jireh

Bills are piled on my desk. I planned to give extra this month to our church-sponsored missionaries, but I suppose I don’t have the money. Besides, I really need a new food processor to chop those veggies for my diet. It’s important to stay healthy, right? And what about that spa day I’ve promised myself?

The Holy Spirit’s gentle voice reminds me—He will never allow me to go without when I’ve generously shared with others the funds He asked me to provide.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

This verse challenged me. Do I really believe what the Bible says? Yes, with all my heart. That led me to take action. “Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Malachi 3:10

I can do what my heart desires—contribute to God’s kingdom and trust that He will provide for me. For now, I can only praise and adore Him.
