Love Found Along Route 66 – Book Review

Summer’s Surprise is a delightful tale crafted by Christian author Martha Rogers. The story takes place on Route 66 in the Texas Panhandle. The reader is whisked off on an adventure which combines a love story with a journey, seeing the sites along the way. In the story, the author gives us a peek at Palo Duro Canyon, transporting the reader to the fascinating Grand Canyon of Texas.

Summer Patterson is a photojournalist doing a piece for her magazine on the notable sites along Route 66. In addition, she’s writing some human interest stories. When her car breaks down in McLean, Texas, a handsome mechanic walks into her life.

Cody Harper regrets his past as a rodeo rider, but still resists his grandmother’s urging to attend church with her. His one goal is to own and operate a  horse ranch, but his funds are tight. When he’s attracted to the city woman, Summer Patterson, he figures their relationship is a lost cause.

If you love clean romance and tales of small Texas towns, you’ll love Summer’s Surprise.
