Reflecting God’s Glory

Reflecting God’s Glory

Once when we were traveling in our RV, the window out the back faced east, and I saw a brilliant sunrise every morning. But one day I happened to look out the other side toward the west just at the right time. A glorious gold light reflected from the windows of the apartment house next to the RV Park. There had to be an analogy there.

“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.” Jesus is the true light, and like the reflection, God’s divine purpose was accomplished without any help from me.

“You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” The light shining through the window did so without any effort on the part of the window. The light was a reflection of the true source of light, the sun. We can be like those windows and reflect God’s true light. All we have to do is be willing.

Why not relax and ask the Lord to allow you to be a reflection of Him and His light in your life?

“For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.” 11Samuel 22-23

Dear Lord, thank You for being the Light that came into our world. Allow me to decrease as You increase. Amen.
