Our next heart pounding fiasco happened in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Kirkland AFB. I need to explain that my husband Joe is a retired army captain, and we frequented the military RV parks. Great prices, great setting, great people.
We were quietly minding out own business, enjoying the warm weather and fabulous Mexican restaurants Albuquerque has to offer when we were ordered off post. Not just us but everyone in the park. We never found out exactly why. Whether it was a military exercise or a real situation. Anyway, we left for higher ground. Another AFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
All joking aside, we respect military bases and were happy to comply.
