The Eternal God

Romans 16:26 says the prophetic writings of the Bible were revealed by the command of the eternal God. “Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelations of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command ofthe eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him—to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ.”

God ordered man to write down the message of God’s Word through more than 40 authors in three languages during a period of 1,500 years. He sounds like a very powerful God to me.

God’s commands will be obeyed one way or another. His purposes will be accomplished and His will done. Philippians 2: 10-11 says, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”

We can choose to be a part of what He’s doing or not. If we don’t obey Him, someone else will. I want to be a part of His plans.

“For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.” 11Samuel 22:33

Dear Lord, give me strength when I’m weary, desire to serve You when I’m discouraged, and hope when I have none. May Your will be done in my life. Amen.
