Too Shiny

Once when my grandson Jayke was about four years old, he told my daughter the reason people couldn’t see God was because He’s too shiny. Of course Grandma thought that was such a cute thing for a little one to say. It was only recently I found a scripture that affirmed the truth to that statement. By the way, my grandson’s now in college.

1 Timothy 6:15-16 says: God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and might forever. Amen.

When I thought about it, that is the reason why we can’t see God, because he lives in unapproachable light—He’s too shiny. But when God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross, He sent us a physical representation of Himself. We will see the Son again someday as well at His second coming.

And at the present time, we’re not left as orphans because we have the third part of the trinity living within us and others—the Holy Spirit.

Wow, never knew kids were so smart. Theologians even at the age of four!

“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” Luke 10: 21

Dear Lord, thank You that You love little children and invite them to come to You. Thank You for making a way for my salvation, as well. Amen.
