Welcome Debut Author Sara Foust

For the month of December, I’ve asked debut author Sara Foust to introduce herself to my blog readers. Each week on Thursday we’ll learn something new. Welcome, Sara. 

Tell us about yourself. Why did you begin writing and why do you write in the genre you do?

I have been writing since I was a kid. In second grade, I won a trophy for my story, “My Amaginary Friend.” And I was hooked. I’ve dreamed of writing a novel ever since. I love books of all kinds and I have always believed it would be an honor to have my book on the shelf next to so many other amazing books. When I lost my medical transcription job in 2015, my husband and I prayed and felt led that this was the time for me to focus on writing one of those novels. After years of dreaming about it and longing for writing time, I made the commitment to become a “real writer.” Now, two years after that vow, my debut novel, Callum’s Compass, is here! I kind of naturally fell into the romantic suspense genre because I am a romantic at heart, and also because I love adventure and solving “who-dun-it” cases.

I have no doubt the Lord tapped you on the shoulder and said, “Write the stories I’ve put on your heart.” May He continue to bless your novels for His glory.
